Why is the Secretary of Education in Washington DC so worried about what law a governor enacts in his state?
Why is Miguel A. Cardona, Ed.D. worried about the mask laws in these states?
In August of 2021 the Secretary of Education Washington, DC sent a letter to eight state Governors stating his concerning about the Governor’s actions to block school districts from voluntarily adopting science-based strategies for preventing the spread of COVID-19.
Each of the State Governor’s that received this letter had adopted rules that would not allow educational agencies from adopting requirements for the universal wearing of masks.
You determine the reason for the letters. Was it because the Federal Government ESSER funds required all states to adopt laws that demanded our children to wear a mask or was it because of the money the states had already been given?
